A bedroom is a part of the house where we spend a lot of our time, obviously for sleeping and relaxing. A good bedroom design must be comfortable, has a calming aesthetic, and has the right atmosphere to provide us a sense of relaxation. For all these aspects to work perfectly, we need to keep in mind several factors such as flooring, lightning, furniture, and decoration. These four important elements can make your room a place of refuge and rest so that you can wake up fresh in the morning.

Creating warm interior begins with the selection and installation of flooring that provides comfort and convenience. Ideally, the material for the bedroom floor should be warm to step on. Parquet (wood flooring) and carpet are the best choice to enhance comfort. The natural brown colour of wood can give a classic and calm touch to the room. As for the carpet, the soft surface will bring out warmth and comfort, which will add more intimacy to your bedroom’s atmosphere.

As a bedroom is intended for rest and relaxation, a preferable wall paint colour would be the one that can instil a sense of peace and tranquillity. Neutral colours such as ivory, beige, grey, or white are the perfect choices because they are soft and can give a sense of balance and serenity. Neutral colours such as beige are often favoured for bedrooms, as they can conjure up an elegant, refined, and classic ambience. These colours can be applied in their many shades and they never fail to bring out warmth and intimacy. They can also easily match with any types of furniture. You can also try to combine a neutral colour with brighter colours, creating a chromatic contrast, to avoid your bedroom design looking too dull.
Lighting

When designing lighting for your bedroom, avoid installing too many lights, or if possible, all kinds of direct lighting. In contrast to a study room or a kitchen that needs a lot of general lighting, installing too many lights might even spoil the sense of comfort and intimacy. Warm and dim cove lighting and table lamps are sufficient to illuminate your bedroom. Add a dimmer to the bedroom lamps or place colour light bulbs for more flexibility to adjust the mood of the room.
Furniture

A bedroom furniture is a necessity that must be well-considered for upmost comfort in your bedroom. This element doesn't need to be expensive, simply choose the essential furniture that can fulfil the basic needs in your bedroom; for example a bed, a wardrobe, and a dressing table. Often people are stuck with the use of some bedroom furniture that seems to take up a lot of space which indeed makes the bedroom design looks full and cramped. Most importantly, opt for bedroom furniture that is functional yet fit into your bedroom to make it feel more comfortable and spacious.
