Furnishing a Small Bathroom with both Elegance and Practicality

Having a small and narrow bathroom does not necessarily mean having to choose between functionality and style. Combining the right materials, shapes, colours and accessories in the right way can create both an elegant and practical bathroom design. What requires special attention, however, is the choice of furnishing accessories and the little details. Minimalism and brightness are the key!

In the market, we can find a wide variety of toilets. There are in fact solutions of every format and size to meet any need. One of the most suitable alternatives is using small-sized toilets with a built-in bidet seat. If possible, you could go with a wall-hung toilet, which is more convenient than the floor-mounted toilet because it takes up less space and also easy to clean. Avoiding complex shapes is the key to gain extra spaces.

One thing to note here is to use undermount sinks instead of the vessel type in order to contain the bulk of the sink inside the vanity. A proper arrangement of sanitary wares makes it possible to insert all essentials into a small bathroom, even a shower cubicle. In fact, there are companies that offer customised shower cubicles with sizes adjustable to a small bathroom. If a shower cubicle is just too much, you can always use a small shower head with a shower curtain.

Brightness gives a sense of lightness and spaciousness to our home interior, including the bathrooms so choose floor and wall finishes with light and delicate colours. White remains the most suitable solution. Pastel and calm shades such as beige, light blue, and light green would also be ideal to give the bathroom a touch of elegance. ideally, you need to allow natural light to permeate through openings like windows or skylight to give your small bathroom a more spacious feel.

Visually, it is ideal to keep a small bathroom simple and uncluttered. Keep décor to a minimum, rearrange your toiletries regularly, make sure towels are hanging tidily on the bars, and more importantly, make it basic.
