Be prepared: Make the most out of Equinox with these trade show tips
1. Conduct research before the event
Let’s be honest, there’s not many of us who can find the time to do this during a busy work schedule, but even 15 minutes of research on Archify can increase the value of your conversations with suppliers. Did you know that a full list of exhibitors with links to their Archify profiles is available on each events’ registration page? 2. Register early and give yourself time to arrive
You never know when the train is going to be delayed, or if the traffic is worse than usual, so it’s always a good idea to give yourself plenty of time to arrive. For Equinox events, attendees who’ve registered at least a week in advance will have an expedited entry, as they will already have a nametag printed. Last minute registrations will also receive a printed nametag, however this will be done on site and will only slightly delay your entry into the event.
3. Sit in on presentations (only at major city events)
Take a break, enjoy a complimentary drink and absorb some new information at Equinox’s Education Hub. Presentations at Equinox can count as Informal CPD hours, and at our Evolution events there are opportunities to attend Formal CPD presentations.
4. Don’t be afraid to turn up the heat!
Be brave and ask suppliers what you really want to know! This is where you can really put a brand’s technical knowledge to the test. If you’ve got a product in mind, quiz the representatives specifically on that product. Sales reps at Equinox are the face of their respective brands; if they are well versed in their product info, so you can feel assured that their company’s culture includes a high level of knowledge overall.
5. Stock up on business cards – there’s prizes to be won!
If you’re a little low on business cards, now is the time to top up! A large portion of Equinox exhibitors give away prizes via business card draws, and there’s always plenty to win. After you have spoken to a brand about their products, drop your business card into their bowl to be in it to win it.
