Architrave Ltd. offers architectural design services tailored to the requirements of each project. Services are provided entirely in-house by Architrave staff. Architectural services are commonly organized into phases. Typically these are Pre-design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Construction Administration. Although the value and requirements of each phase may vary from project to project, this organization provides a framework in which the design evolves from an ongoing process of investigation, analysis, documentation and owner review. Authorization to proceed into any phase is contingent upon the client's concurrence with direction previously established. Architrave's practice has focused on the design of transportation, commercial, health care and educational project types. Completed projects include new construction, additions to existing structures, renovation, restoration and tenant buildout. Architrave, Ltd. strives to provide staff continuity throughout the life of a project. The firm's principals assume direct responsibility for each project and in most cases, a principal will also be the project manager or project architect. The principal and project manager are assigned for the project duration. The project manager is the client liaison responsible for distribution and receipt of project information. By providing a single contact for the client, communication is simplified and parallel dialogues are eliminated. Civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering are most often provided by consultants retained by Architrave. The need for consultant services is evaluated on a project-by-project basis and each consultant is selected with consideration for the project's complexity, scheduling and budget. Architrave has also coordinated its services with design build engineering consultants retained directly by the owner. On transportation projects with preponderant civil, structural and communications design Architrave has performed architectural services as consultant to the engineering team. Architrave utilizes an integrated Microsoft Windows network for word processing, business management, graphics and CADD applications. Specifically, Microsoft Office Suite provides word processing and business management, while Adobe’s Acrobat Reader and Photoshop are used within our graphic efforts. Autodesk’s AutoCAD and Revit support development of 2D drawings, 3D modeling, and BIM development. Written specifications are prepared using ARCOM’s MasterSpec. Additionally, consultants utilize the same or compatible software.
