Bokor architecture + interiors were commissioned to design the Elextrolux Experience Centre showcasing the Electrolux Pillars of taste, care and wellbeing and inspired by their strong design history. The result is a multi-purpose centre designed to bring a number of brands to life in an interactive environment including AEG, Electrolux, Westinghouse, Vintec, homecare products and BBQ. The Electrolux Experience Centre is located on the Ground Floor of a multi-storey commercial office tower in Sydney’s Mascot.

Electrolux is a global leader in home appliances, based on deep consumer insight and developed in close collaboration with professional chefs. The brief was to create a state of the art facility where visitors can experience the appliances and use them in a hands-on way. The Experience Centre provides facilities for training, masterclasses, functions and meeting areas. Electrolux wanted the space to be able to display their full range of products to their clients in a professional, coherent and modern way whilst having the capability to cater for large corporate events. The design includes high end finishes, and complex joinery pods complimented by sophisticated lighting and audio visual elements.

Our practice was established in 2009 with the merging of Julius Bokor Architects (est 1973) and Designed Interiors (est 2002). Julius and Marianne, combined together to form bokor architecture + interiors to offer their expertise in both disciplines. They are equal directors in the business.Our studio is located in Surry Hills in Sydney with clients across Australia and overseas. One of our key achievements is our ongoing relationships with local, regional and global organisations, with bokor architecture + interiors exclusively selected as a partner for many international firms. Our team of dedicated professionals offer extensive experience across a range of design typologies and project scales. These projects encompass retail, commercial, multi-residential, government, health, aged care, master-planning and hospitality.The size and structure of bokor architecture + interiors is based on a creative studio model with a mix of architects and interior designers. Our size ensures that all staff team members can work across all design disciplines and can take on any project. This philosophy allows us to pull extra internal resources into any project as required.The combined professional careers of the studio have completed over 800 projects offering creative and tested design capabilities across projects of various typologies and scale.
