Frasers Property Australia’s General Manager – Residential Queensland, Cameron Leggatt, announced “I am proud to share that Frasers Property Australia and Honeycombes Property Group’s Coorparoo Square received the highly coveted Liberty Award for Best Mixed Use Development at the 2019 Property Council of Australia and Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards. The $250 million mixed use development has helped to redefine the heritage rich suburb of Coorparoo through the urban renewal of what was Queensland’s first MYER building and is now a landmark precinct within inner Brisbane. Congratulations to all our partners on this project.”
Conrad Gargett was proud to design the mixed use development delivered through a close working relationship with joint venture partners Frasers Property Australia and Honeycombes Property Group, with Probuild Constructions.
Director of Conrad Gargett, John Flynn, stated, “Conrad Gargett congratulate Frasers Property Australia and Honeycombes Property Group for being awarded esteemed industry recognition for Coorparoo Square.”
“Conrad Gargett was privileged to design a vibrant and distinctive mixed use destination that creatively reactivated the vacant landmark site in Brisbane. With the seamless and sustainably-focused integration of residential, retail, commercial and leisure spaces, this part of the city has been enriched by the delivery of Coorparoo Square for residents and the wider community to interact and enjoy.”
Coorparoo Square delivers 366 contemporary apartments across three buildings with panoramic city and suburban views complemented by abundant lifestyle amenities including sport and leisure facilities. The residences are seamlessly connected to a sub-tropical, shady and pedestrian-focused 6,500 square metre retail and commercial precinct accessible to the public, with convenient shopping, cafes, restaurants and anchor tenants – an impressive 10-theatre Dendy Cinema complex and Aldi supermarket.
“Conrad Gargett creates meaningful places for people which lies at the heart of what we do as Architects,” said Flynn.
