Acoufelt is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr Olga Umnova to its Global Advisory Board in a move that reinforces its position as an international leader in the interior acoustics marketplace. The highly respected UK based academic with extensive research experience and theoretical strength in the field of acoustic materials will join an existing team of external advisors from the USA, Sweden and Australia, all of whom are highly regarded in their fields.
“We are delighted to have Dr Umnova join our advisory board and believe that she will make a significant contribution to our business” , said Ben Grace, Global Managing Director of Acoufelt. “We are constantly trying to take on new ideas to deliver better, more holistic solutions for our customers. The disparate thinking from a diverse group of experts with different perspectives helps us to keep ahead of the game.”
Dr Umnova holds a Masters Degree of Science in Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology as well as a PhD in Acoustics from the Russian Academy of Sciences. She was appointed to a Post-Doctoral position at the University of Hull, UK and then to a position as Lecturer in Theoretical Acoustics at the University of Salford before being appointed Reader by University of Salford in 2012.
