Founded in Santa Monica, California, GumGum has expanded its global presence with 12 offices across North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. With a team of 480 employees working collaboratively worldwide, GumGum is fast becoming a leader in the digital advertising landscape.
With their rapid expansion and growing team, GumGum required a sophisticated workspace in London that would foster creativity, collaboration, and productivity. Located in the prominent Corner Building in Farringdon, the new office needed to reflect GumGum’s cutting-edge ethos and provide an environment conducive to both individual and group work.
The office design was completed by Kitt Offices; leading workplace design firm known for creating tailored environments that enhance workplace culture. In partnership with Acoufelt, Kitt selected WoodBeQuiet™ Slats in ‘Log Cabin’ print with a ‘Charcoal’ V groove, installed in meeting rooms and near workstations to enhance the aesthetic while minimising noise. Interwoven with biophilic elements, cool green tones, and natural textiles, Acoufelt’s WoodBeQuiet™ Slats complement the earthy palette, creating a warm, welcoming environment. The mezzanine floor plan and glass-walled meeting rooms allow natural light to flood the space, enhancing this effect.
Acoufelt’s WoodBeQuiet™ Slats, with their ‘Log Cabin’ woodprint finish, add a biophilic visual element while also serving a critical functional role. With a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.45, these panels effectively absorb excess noise, creating an acoustically pleasant atmosphere conducive to productive work.
The collaboration between GumGum, Kitt, and Acoufelt has resulted in a workspace that not only meets the practical needs of its users but also embodies the innovative spirit of GumGum. As GumGum continues to expand its global footprint, the London office serves as a model for future office designs, blending style, functionality, and superior acoustic performance.
