Set in an old piano factory, The Ivories, the Loom Club perfectly combines a new and innovative working environment which bridges the gap between working from home and working from an office, whilst creating a sense of community.
Kasawoo, a London-based architecture studio, worked with the Loom Club’s co-founders to bring this project to life. The brief was to create a flexible space which effortlessly brings people together. It has been designed to provide a co-working environment, which feels homely and integrate elements of leisure, providing a balance between areas for concentration as well as socialising.
Large spaces have been cleverly divided by using soft textiles and for user comfort, Amtico Acoustic has been specified throughout. This helps to reduce sound transmission between floors and spaces by up to 19dB, meaning that users of the space can benefit from a quieter environment.
Featured Pattern: Large Parquet
The Loom Club has used White Oak in Large Parquet to zone the area around the kitchen island. A popular laying pattern, it adds a homely touch to a large commercial space; its combination next to the White Oak laid in Stripwood is a beautiful example of how different laying patterns in the same colour can add impact to a design.
