Introducing RE/8™ bio-circular architectural mesh by Kaynemaile®, a cutting-edge building material ushering in a new era of sustainability. Crafted from a bio-circular plastic, this mesh represents a breakthrough in eco-conscious construction. Derived from an ISCC Plus certified bio-waste supply chain, it’s essentially a new, clean material.
The innovative resin used in RE/8 is sourced from a variety of renewable sources, including used cooking oils and forestry waste. By repurposing these materials that would otherwise end up in landfills or incinerators, Kaynemaile minimises environmental impact while maximising resource efficiency.
Made in New Zealand, the manufacturing process of RE/8 is equally eco-friendly. The mesh is made through a nil-waste production process, with production off-cuts also put back into the manufacturing process. Using only certified renewable energy, every aspect of production is geared towards sustainability. RE/8 mesh is also 100% recyclable, ensuring a closed-loop lifecycle that minimises waste.
RE/8 mesh isn’t just environmentally friendly—it’s also highly versatile. Constructed from seamlessly interlinked polycarbonate rings, it is strong, highly flexibility, and lightweight. Whether for outdoor solar protection, interior space dividers or striking ceiling features, Kaynemaile mesh offers unparalleled functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Project Westfield Carousel Shopping Centre Parking Garage
Kaynemaile’s mesh in Bronze was an ideal choice for the Carousel Shopping Centre Carpark, glistening in the sun it creates a dynamic, shimmering effect. The three-dimensional design along with the shimmering colour are effective in breaking up the very long horizontal facade of the building.

Project One NZ Ceiling Feature
This ribbon-like feature was designed using Kaynemaile’s translucent Jade Green, the colour working perfectly with the client’s brand colours. Viewed from the street the ceiling feature flows through the space and the translucent colour is enhanced by pendant lights dropping through at various locations.

Project HFHL Offices
Manufactured in a custom translucent jade green, the screens play a central role in defining the rhythm of this façade. Their offset, angled layout portrays a lovely bounce, evoking a sense of colourful movement across the building’s exterior.

Project X-Active Gym
Gracefully spanning the entire distance as one continuous piece Kaynemaile has created a stunning feature. Thanks to the material’s soft, fabric-like properties, it effortlessly follows a custom curved rod and is easily installed using a straightforward hanging system.
