Compliance with AS 4666 is mandatory for all manufacturers supplying IGU windows within Australia, under the prevalent Deemed to Satisfy (DtS) compliance pathway of the National Construction Code (NCC). This Australian Standard applies to Insulated Glass Units (IGUs), including double and triple glazing, regardless of whether they are manufactured domestically or imported into Australia.

Certification under AS 4666 requires glass processors to conduct rigorous testing across numerous critical areas in every production shift, along with biennial long term accelerated weathering chamber testing, thereby ensuring continuous quality assurance and supporting the enduring performance of each product.
