New Thermal Simulation Performance

Under AFRC protocols we simulate glass performance based on the Environmental Conditions of the outside being -18° Celsius and the inside being 21° Celsius.

Heat wants to go from where it is hot to where it is not, so in this set environment the 21° Celsius wants to escape to the colder outside and standard glass is by far the easiest pathway to do so in a building… unless you have high performance Double Glazing.

Our Thermal Simulations compare standard 6mm Clear single glazed glass against our Insulglass® range of Double Glazed Units (DGU) but with a more specific 0° Celsius outside. See the significant difference of inside glass surface temperatures after 1 minute being in this environmental condition:
