Bildspec have installed their Rw46-rated Konnect Double Glazed Operable Wall for InOne Projects, at CPG’s prestigious Blues Point Road office at McMahons Point in Sydney. This glass operable wall, which includes a full height pass door with lever handle for DDA compliance, helps preserve CPG’s spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge from all along the office floor. Installed between the board room and a breakout/kitchen space, the operable wall allows CPG the flexibility of large or small group meeting spaces per their requirements on the day. Konnect was chosen due both to its flexibility and ability to provide as much natural light within the fit-out as possible.

Operable walls aid a flexible work environment, allowing for either small, private spaces to work when needed, or larger spaces to collaborate and socialise with their colleagues.  One space can be turned into multiple, smaller spaces, whether it is turning a large open plan area into a series of meeting rooms, or sectioning off rest, eat or play areas away from the busy working environment. Operable walls allow a limited transfer of sound from the external office into the smaller individual space.
