St Marys Rugby League Club is a vibrant community club which serves as the social centrepiece of the St Mary's district catering to over 50,000 proud members. Bildspec Operable Walls are honoured to have played a role in the club’s recent development of a stunning new $25 million Western Foyer and Events Centre at the site. The club now boasts 4 fabulous restaurants, 5 custom bars, multiple lounge areas, and an amazing outdoor terrace.
Bildspec Operable Walls were chosen by FDC Constructions to fulfill the design brief set out by Bergstrom Architects for the new development’s complicated acoustic folding doors Sydney requirements.
Multiple Series 100 Rw52-rated remote-stacking operable walls with bottom mechanical retracting seals were installed by Bildspec to enable the club to separate a large function-space floorplan into numerous multi-use meeting and function spaces. Complete with kick rails and chair rails to increase durability, these folding doors Sydney were all specified with a high 52Rw acoustic rating to allow maximum flexibility and privacy to each individual area regardless of the chosen space configuration on the day.
The high acoustic ratings achieved by Bildspec Operable Walls facilitate flexible spaces that suit the intended purpose and function of the relevant space. This is achieved by greatly reducing external noise from passing into each space. This reduction of sound is measured as Rw (Weighted Sound Reduction Index).
