Capral introduces a new range of designer windows Urban Plus

As part of an ongoing product innovation program at Capral, Australia’s largest aluminium supplier has recently introduced a newly developed range of designer residential windows and doors – the Urban Plus range.

The Urban Plus range was specifically developed by Capral to expand the Capral window and door range into new markets. Michael O’Keefe, General Manager Marketing and Technology comments

Designed for high-end residential applications the Urban Plus range delivers architectural styling without the need to go to a traditional commercial window system.”

For many years, the Capral brand has been synonymous with commercial window, door and glazing suites; indeed Capral commercial glazing systems are used extensively throughout Australian Commercial, Multi-residential and Civic buildings.

“We’ve always had a comprehensive and strong offer for the commercial sector, as well as some well regarded entry level residential systems. The Urban Plus range was specifically intended to fill a gap in the middle, enabling Architects and Builders to select a sleek, stylish and robust system for upmarket homes without needing to select from systems which are actually designed for commercial buildings.”

“The Urban Plus range has been designed from the ground up as a comprehensive system. Reviewing a full offer of window and door suites at once has enabled us to look at efficiencies in the design. The range has been designed with circular design principles in mind, where possible common extrusions are used to allow fabricators to minimise waste and optimise material use across the project. We’ve also had the systems assessed under the International Future Living Institutes Declare label program so that we can provide specifiers with full transparency about the materials and products which go into creating these systems.”

The Urban Plus range includes Sliding, Double-Hung, Awning, Casement, Folding and Louvre windows along with Sliding, Hinged and Folding door systems.

As part of a major review of their window and door systems, Capral intends to roll out additional product ranges throughout 2022.
