Caroma has now joined the ‘prefab revolution’ by developing a suite of prefabricated in-wall framing systems called CAMFIS (Caroma Modular Frame Installation Solution), which allows for plumbers to run their own prefabricated production lines and help solve their labour crisis and drive growth. 

HOW IT WORKS

CAMFIS is a series of prefabricated in-wall frames designed for fast, reliable installation of Caroma bathroom fixtures in high-volume commercial projects. Developed with leading Australian plumbing contractors, these frames ensure stability and versatility, allowing quick, hassle-free installation of various Caroma products. They also offer flexibility for on-site adjustments, making them ideal for projects with many similar bathrooms, like hospitals or aged care facilities. The frames consist of galvanized steel supports and brackets, allowing plumbers to pre-mount and rough in water pipe fittings offsite. Once attached to on-site steel wall frames, they are ready for sealing and quick connection to hot and cold supply lines. This process avoids time-consuming on-site rough-in work and scheduling conflicts with other trades. Offsite rough-in reduces waste and disruption, saving time and money. Prefabricated frames can be pressure-tested before delivery to ensure they are leak-proof. Caroma frames are structurally tested to support high loads, unlike traditional timber noggins, which vary in strength. CAMFIS mitigates this risk.
