29 PLATFORMS!

Due to our extensive resources, Con-form Group has made a name for itself in supplying the biggest HVACR construction projects in the nation.

The roof areas are often the size of multiple football fields and the buildings below rely upon dozens of custom-designed mounting systems. In this project no less than 29 lightweight steel platforms were installed across high bay and low bay locations of this manufacturing facility.

Construction companies like us because we have dedicated Product Development, Industrial Design and Engineering teams and a large Manufacturing Centre of Excellence. No matter how complex or comprehensive the project is…whether it requires thousands of linear metres of steel, thousands of square metres of interlocking screens and kilometres of walkway…we always come up with a cost-effective solution. And we install it quickly.

In this case, to ensure optimum Quality Control and a speedy installation, surface-mounted (penetration-free) platforms were prefabricated in our facility and sent as flat packs to the site before being craned to the roof. They are so light they were easily carried into position by hand. Because the hard work had been done prior, the installers joined the sections together with basic tools. There was no need for cutting or hot works.

Our in-house engineers designed a custom bracket to attach the platforms to the existing Universal Beams and Parallel Flange Channels. Some platforms featured our LouvreWallAirflow which hides unsightly HVACR equipment and allows air to flow through to keep them ventilated.
