Con-form Group's Acoustic+ Tuneable Acoustic Screen

Con-form Group's Acoustic+ tuneable acoustic screen is the solution-of-choice for the outdoor pool and garden space of this up-market rooftop apartment in Melbourne.

The architect was faced with a challenge because the noisy (and unsightly) HVACR machinery and hot water service for the apartment complex was positioned in direct line of sight from the top floor apartment. As you stepped outside onto the pool deck you were met by rows of condensers and fans, a water tank and piping. Plus, there was a second HVACR set-up over by the edge of the roof top garden. Added to that was all of the noise emanating from the machinery.

The best aesthetic/functional solution was the Acoustic+ noise barrier finished in attractive Surf Mist - a colour which complements the building façade and garden surrounds.

The interlocking steel cassettes are strong yet lightweight and they contain a fibrous polyester core which absorbs noise. Being Australia's only tuneable acoustic screen, it had its density matched to the level of noises in that space.
