There are no less than 10 HVAC&R equipment platforms on the roof of this property at Acacia Ridge – a mixed use of purlin and rafter mounted platforms.
It is a classic example of how we are able to respond to where HVAC&R units have to be positioned on the roof, the varying weight of these units, and the need to disperse this weight across the load bearing components of the roof.
Smaller HVAC units were placed on our EasyMech MR platforms. These are penetration-free structures which are installed without the need for hot works. The lightweight frames (only 10kg per m2) were delivered as an easy-to-install flat pack. They were mounted over the purlins and have a live load rating of 5 kPa.
The bigger HVAC units and the shed (we provided the steel frame for it as well) were placed on our innovative Span+ platform. Strong, secure and lightweight (from 19kg per m2) it was attached to the rafters with minimal penetration. It is generations ahead of traditional methods.
The platforms ranged in size from 3.6 x 3.0 metres to more than 26 metres x 7 metres. Like all Con-form Group products they are guaranteed for 25 years.
