Quiet, please.

Hospitals have to be kept quiet in order for patients to receive the best of care, not just from the medical professionals but from their surroundings. How would you feel if you were recovering from a medical situation and all you could hear was the mechanical humming or air whooshing from a roof top HCAVR system? Which is why Con-form Group's acoustic solutions are the go-to for hospitals across the nation.

Here's a hospital in Victoria which we recently completed. Our 30 metre long steel platform (penetration-free roof-to-concrete mounting) is on top of the Emergency building and it has an Acoustic+© screen. This interlocking (lightweight) steel wall features a fibrous polyester core which traps outbound noise across a range of frequencies. What makes it different from all other acoustic barriers is that this core is tuneable according to the strength of the noise. It is available in five different surface densities right up to 31kg per square metre. At the same time it is available in a range of heights to ensure noise is contained, right up to 2400mm (we also design custom sizes).

Acoustic+ has a powerful Noise Reduction Coefficient of .75. In this scenario it has been combined with a section of our LouvreWall Airflow© which allows air to pass through and ventilate the VACR plant equipment. For noisier environments we provide an even more powerful  version of screen with a range-topping NRC of 1.0 and a version of louvres with the same noise-cancelling core.

We cover our steel products with a 25 year warranty and the fabric core (which is made from recycled drink bottles!) for 10 years.
