As an example of the many and varied custom designs we produce each month, here is a project with a difference.

For starters, instead of being for the usual HVAC&R plant equipment, we created these platforms-with-steel-frame-enclosures for inverters for a big roof top solar system. We designed three sided enclosures with a 2800mm high angled roof then manufactured the frames and wall panels and installed them.

Inside, the inverters were mounted to back-to-back steel panels with a 500m thermal gap between them.

The enclosures sit on top of EasyMech MR purlin-mounted platforms which were also designed, manufactured and installed by Con-form Group. These are unique because they don't require penetration into the roof cavity. As such, there is no need for hot works on the roof and no interruption to occupants below.

EasyMech MR is a lightweight, modular system which distributes loads evenly, reducing the structural requirements of the roof. It is engineered to a minimal live load rating of 2.5 kPa (this can be doubled, or more). Delivered in sections, it is very easy to assemble. It comes with a 25 year warranty.
