The Case at Craigieburn Coles

Chances are when you go shopping at a Coles or Woolies across Australia your store is being kept fresh by an HVAC&R system sitting on a Con-form Group platform and surrounded by our proprietary designed screens. We have installed so many.

Such is the case at Craigieburn Coles where our LouvreWall AirFlow hides the mechanical units from view whilst supplying them with plenty of ventilation.

LouvreWall allows 55% open air flow through the angled blades (this can be increased to any volume to suit individual requirements).

The first screen, measuring 8400 x 16800mm, weighs in at just 7kg per square metre. This four sided system is 2000mm high - there are standard heights available of 1200, 1600, 2000 and 2400mm. It sits on top of our EasyMech purlin-mounted steel platform. This is a super-lightweight (14 kg per square metre) surface mounted structure which doesn't require roof penetration. Clever design means it evenly distributes the weight of the HVAC&R mech' unit across the roof. This platform is rated for a live load of 2.5 kPa. The combination of the platform and screen is much lighter than traditional methods.

The second screen (7200 x 9600mm) is attached directly to the roof. LouvreWall is available in a range of attractive Colorbond colours to complement the building and the colour-of-choice for this project is Monument. All steel components, both the louvres and platform, are covered by Con-form Group's 25 year warranty.

The platform and louvre screen are modular units which are prefabricated with framework that rapidly bolts together. There is no need for welding or cutting on the roof. The louvre blades are inserted via a speedy clip-on method. And, the lightweight components are easy to carry into place which contributes to our quick in/out process.
