The Auckland City Mission is a charitable organisation that provides professional health and social services to marginalised Aucklanders. Established in 1920, the City Mission forms an important part of the city’s social fabric and a focal point for Auckland’s most vulnerable communities.
The redeveloped Mission HomeGround enables improved delivery of services, providing wrap-around support to 80 tenants housed in onsite accommodation. The new facilities include a Medical Centre and Pharmacy, various assessment rooms, public showers and toilets, a social and medical detox unit with 30 beds, and a large eating area for serving regular meals. The community activity rooms and commercial spaces also connect with the wider community by creating social enterprise opportunities.
CS Cavity Sliders provided a number of sliding door solutions for this award-winning project, providing advice for the best products to meet a range of doorway opening requirements including restricted access, sound reduction, accessibility and flexibility. Throughout construction, a dedicated rep met with the construction company on site, checking measurements and keeping track of variations as details changed.

• SoundStop STC42 sound rated cavity sliders with special jambs to suit 13mm linings on one side and 25mm linings on the other side. Accessible doors protrude 100mm from the pocket to allow hardware to clear the jambs. Specialised lead lined doors incorporate a triple seal to the underside of the door
• Full-Height Triple Ceiling Mount Track System - three full height doors in an overtaking configuration act as a moveable wall to close off a staff room area

• EasyOpen cavity sliders with special jambs to suit 25mm linings on one side. Accessible doors with CaviLock CL100 LaviLock handles protrude 100mm from pocket.
