Everhard Chair, Gina Boyce-Rowe was invited by Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) to speak to Lisa M and Michael Rowland regarding the impact of the bitter four-month feud between wharfies and ports operator DP World. Since Gina’s interview, Everhard and other shipping stakeholders have welcomed the news that the parties have now reached an agreement to end the protected industrial action at Australian ports disrupting supply chains.
At Everhard, delivering excellent client service has driven us for almost 100 years, and anything that impacts us providing uninterrupted service to our customers keeps us up at night.
We understand there is still a large backlog of containers across ports which could take some weeks to clear. The Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) has also warned that the terms of the settlement of the dispute come at a long-term cost for the industry and end consumers.
Meanwhile, at Everhard, we remain committed to working with our suppliers to maintain service our customers can trust.
