As part of our commitment to continual product development and improvement, Fairview will be making available perforated top hats in January 2024.

Available in two sizes (24mm and 35mm) these perforated top hats have been designed to facilitate better air movement and drainage within the wall cavity, especially when fixed in horizontal orientation.

Unlike the perforated variant, traditional solid wall top hats may obstruct the vertical venting of the cavity, and provide a ledge for moisture to accumulate.

By improving ventilation, through the use of perforated top hats, you reduce heat build-up behind the façade, aide in passive moisture management, limit thermal movement and in turn reduce the likelihood for out of plane movement along the panel surface.
