After observing numerous instances where conventional practices of positioning services 40mm away from other services or construction element apertures resulted in significant fire stopping challenges, we were driven to find a practical solution for Installers, Specifiers and Certifiers.
Our team conducted rigorous testing of service penetrations through our Intubatt® system, specifically for situations where services are near the aperture or construction element interface â also known as âclose to edgeâ. We are thrilled to report that our testing has produced excellent results.
By precisely friction fitting TBA Firefly⢠Intubatt® in the aperture of construction elements that are 100 mm thick or greater, and ensuring corresponding services adhere to the minimum annular gaps outlined in our comprehensive report FAS190235 (excluding services safeguarded with FRF collars), services can safely be located near the edge of the Primary Firestopping element (Intubatt®) and the construction element.
