About Grillex

GX Outdoors' journey began in 1990 when the founders' father saw the need for better playgrounds, leading to the creation of Megatoy. The family moved to Bundaberg in 1993 and grew Megatoy into a leading supplier to councils, schools, and major chains like McDonald's, before selling it to Kompan in 2008.

In 2006, the founder started a new venture with outdoor furniture items from Megatoy, and soon his brother and sisters joined the business. Despite limited experience, the family grew the company by targeting schools and councils. After several rebrands, the company became GX Outdoors, now a leader in park infrastructure, serving councils and architects across Australia.
