Kingspan Facades Showcase in Perth
Belmont Hub is a 5-star Greenstar rated building with an incredible, highly detailed design that features several Kingspan products.
This landmark building in Perth’s City of Belmont, is a unique community destination. Set across four levels the building houses a library, digital hub and recording studio, seniors centre, museum, and office space for community service groups. A highly detailed, architectural design, the vision was to create a deconstructed building, pushing the boundaries architecturally with ideas not before seen on Australia’s west coast.
To achieve a sustainable, 5-star Greenstar rated building, innovative and interesting materials were used. The external cladding delivered exceptional insulation performance, as well as outstanding visual aesthetics with convex and concave curves, as well as angles all around the exterior. The KingZip standing seam system was finished in Eurozinc, which is a cost-effective coating with zinc particles, that will age over time.

“Utilizing the KingZip on-site rollforming system hastened the construction process. The large panel installation was prefabricated and craned in onsite, enabling the builders to achieve lock up fairly quickly, which was valuable,†commented Bollig.
The external cladding delivered exceptional insulation performance, as well as outstanding visual aesthetics with convex and concave curves, and angles all around the exterior. Completely clad in insulated panels, this removed the need for a lot of structural framing, which is generally required for traditional cladding methods.
The KingZip standing seam system was finished in Eurozinc, which is a cost-effective coating with zinc particles, that will age over time to create a one-of-a-kind finish. Also featured on exterior cladding of the building is Kingspan Facade Systems Shingle which add a striking pop of colour to the facade.
Both the Shingle cassettes and KingZip were installed on the Karrier Panel system. The Karrier System is a proven factory engineered building system which comprises individual high performance insulated panels designed to support the structural load of the façades. Karrier provides a weathertight building envelope in a fraction of the time of traditional construction methods, taking the facade off the critical path of the build program.
