NEXTDC P2 is a striking, architecturally designed data centre located in the heart of Perth.

Data centres require high-performance building materials that can deliver exceptional air tightness, stable temperature management, and fire resistance. This prominent 65-metres high building was no exception.

It includes more than 10,000 m2 of technical space and 10 high-density data halls. This high-performance building required building materials that could deliver exceptional air tightness, stable temperature management, and strong fire resistance.

Designed with a complete Kingspan Facade Systems envelope, the exterior was cleverly clad in pre-modularized panels hoisted from the ground and fixed from the inside. Aluminium T-fins created a sense of movement when driving past the building, with bold red and metallic finishes adding to the industrial aesthetic.
