KRGS Doors recently attended Westfield Breakfast Seminar Series 2016. The Retail environment is complex and constantly evolving. To stay ahead of the curve, knowledge is key. This year Westfild had four acclaimed speakers, who inspired and informed on winning the war for the modern consumer, retail trends caused by technology and how digital is affecting consumer behaviour, a look at changing markets, shopping habits and what this all really means for the future of retail.

MARTIN BUTLER
Retail Strategist & Thought Leader
You could say that Martin was born into retail. Part retailer, part marketer â he has dedicated his 30 year career to understanding the modern customer. Martin has worked in top international agencies and, in the 1980s, became one of Londonâs youngest advertising agency owners, launching his own company and eventually co-creating one of the UKâs largest privately owned marketing groups.
Martin now spends his time researching, writing and sharing his views globally, as he obsessively looks to understand what it takes to win the war for the ever-changing, ever more powerful modern customer. His latest book, Itâs Not About Us, Itâs All About Them, concludes âWith a world turned upside down by technology, customer obsession is everythingâ.

Neil founded Conlumino, a retail research and consulting agency, in 2011. Over the past 5 years the company has grown from a team of 5 to a global business with offices in London, New York, Hyderabad and most recently, Boston.
Neil works closely with many of the worldâs leading retailers, property firms and FMCG companies to advise them on how to respond to changing markets,consumer trends and shopping habits.
Prior to Conlumino, Neil was a board director at retail analyst firm Verdict for over 7 years, responsible for Consulting, Corporate Development and Planning.
Neil has also worked for the John Lewis Partnership where he was involved in the planning and relocation of new stores, the development of the John Lewis website and the creation of technical and information systems.

Fi has been described by CEO Magazine as âThe CEOâs Secret Weaponâ and was listed in the Westpac/AFR 2015âs 100 Women of Influence. As one of Australiaâs most respected thought leaders in the digital space, she is a pioneer in digital strategy with over 23 yearsâ experience in the digital/tech sector across Europe, the USA and Oceania.
Beginning her career in consumer electronics, Fi moved into develop digital strategies in London and New York for the likes of the BBC and Virgin where she conceived and built an international B2B gaming portal. Today she leads Bendalls Group working with blue chip organisations in Australia from financial services to retail to FMCG and BSB.
