That’s why our approximately 68,000 colleagues are taking time this October to focus on diversity, equity and inclusion in a global celebration we’re calling We Are Many Voices Month – our approach to recognizing Global Diversity Awareness Month.
Otis colleagues will take part in events and engage in meaningful conversations about purpose and courage, mental health and well-being, generational awareness and more to recognize our diversity, foster the inclusive environment we aspire to, and identify where more still can be done. We are Many Voices month is an important step in Our Commitment to Change, Otis’ social justice initiative to build and sustain a workforce that mirrors the diversity of our customers and the communities where we live and work, and to be a place where every voice feels safe, welcomed and heard.
Otis will also launch its first, voluntary self-ID campaign, called “Free to Be Me,†asking colleagues in 40 countries to self-identify across a number of categories, including race, gender and other categories in compliance with local legal regulations – the results of which will help us build new meaningful programs, policies and partnerships.
