Last year, my message focused on "giving peace a chance," symbolized by the dove of peace. Unfortunately, things haven’t unfolded as I hoped, with rising confrontation, anger, and fear. Still, I see this as a chance for optimism, to reflect, act locally, and focus on what we can control.
As a small business in a vast economy, we are humble enough to know our limits. This reality drives us to embrace small but meaningful steps. Incremental change, though modest, can make real differences to real people.
Voltaire said, “Perfect is the enemy of good.” At Planex, we live by this. Amid endless advice and pressure to chase lofty goals, we focus on practical, achievable actions aligned with our values, that have a positive impact on our surroundings.
For over 30 years, sustainability has been a core Planex value. Long before it became mainstream, we embraced recycling, energy conservation, and waste reduction. Social responsibility is also key, reflected in our low staff turnover and high retention rates. We celebrate diversity, nurture talent, and create a workplace where employees can thrive, even taking extended breaks to raise a family or pursue other personal goals before resuming their careers at Planex.
We always strive to do more with less, to be creative and original. We are driven by evidence, not hype. We can’t change the world, but we aim to do no harm - to our planet, to our team, or to anyone we connect with.
This commitment defines our New Year goal.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and time to recharge.
Jean-Pierre Jardel
