The Reverspiù 20 mm panels were used to renovate the six boarding rooms and to create two new ones at Terminal 2 of Marseille Airport.
In Italian we say "Ne facciamo di tutti i colori" which means, in a funny way, "we do it in all colours"
This time it actually means what it means, we make it in all colours, as you can see from the photos.
Custom colours, colour matching and "colours to die for!"
Marseille airport, official name in French Aéroport Marseille Provence, is located north-west of the city center, at a distance of about 25 km.
It is one of the most important French airports for passenger traffic.
Marseille airport consists of two passenger terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, housed in a separate building. In 2018, the renovation and expansion works of Terminal 2 began using the Reverspiù polycarbonate system as a vertical infill.
Reverspiù is a product with double UV protection. (on both sides of the panel) and with the possibility of two types of uprights, in polycarbonate and in aluminum, which correspond to two different applications.
The polycarbonate upright is placed outside and ensures greater uniformity in the passage of light and less noise related to the expansion of the sheets.
The aluminum upright, on the other hand, remains inside, leaving the external wall of the building completely smooth and coplanar. Thanks to the better statics, moreover, it guarantees greater resistance to wind loads and, if used in roofing, to snow.
When the polycarbonate upright is used, the panels are anchored to the substructure by means of special stainless steel brackets, in the event that the aluminum upright is used, fixing takes place through the profile.
In both cases the system allows the free expansion of the sheets during the phases of thermal excursion, keeping them, at the same time, firmly bound to the load-bearing structure.
Reverspiù 20 mm panels were used to renovate the six boarding areas and to create two new ones. Thanks to the translucent characteristics of the polycarbonate and the possibility of creating any color, it was possible to renovate the main facade, with a result of high aesthetic value.
In this application, our material was integrated with perfectly compatible adhesive films, which made it possible to create graphics that recall the airport logo on the polycarbonate facade.
