What a historic milestone captured! Here is the very first train travelling through the Sydney Metro City & Southwest tunnel, 40 metres below the surface under the Sydney Harbour.

Pyrotek are proudly celebrating this milestone and being apart of the largest rail line project since the city circle underground railway was completed in the 1950s.

Our products were selected for an acoustic engineering solution, with Viterolite 900 utilised as a track absorber for the tunnel floor, Reapor for tunnel wall absorption and Decidamp RTD track dampers. The complete system was engineered to create the best environment possible to overcome noise levels and deliver greater comfort for commuters.
