In this blog post we revisit one of our favourite projects to date and unpack why we think our considered approach to commercial and industrial design landed us some fantastic industry recognition at the Good Design Awards.
The Street + Garden team was incredibly chuffed to take home a 2021 Good Design Award (Commercial + Industrial Product Design Category) for our contribution to the Logan Gardens Water Park project.
S+G designers Forrest Gillham, Charles Wentworth and Liam Gillham led this unique project for clients Logan City Council, Urbis and Interface Landscapes. The creative process was underpinned by fluid collaboration between all parties involved, working closely together to conceptualise, problem solve and deliver a successful design outcome.
We measure this success on many factors, but predominantly on Logan City Council’s reuse of furniture and shelter elements initially designed for the Logan Gardens Water Park project. That, and the fact that our product designs for the Water Park also took home the 2020 SIT Furniture Design Award.
We’d like to acknowledge all collaborators, consultants and creatives that played any part in helping Street + Garden realise this significant design contribution for the city of Logan.

We work in a wonderful number of industries that continuously surprise us with an uplifting show of support and community.
We are constantly being empowered by other companies to follow our passion for design, and we strive to offer the same to those we work with.
And this is why we take great pride in sharing the following list of awards – a list of projects that our design partners worked tirelessly on to connect people and create a public legacy for the communities they exist in. Street + Garden had the pleasure of, and were fortunate enough to collaborate on these projects.
