As 2024 draws to a close, we’re proud to reflect on the strides Workspace has made toward a more sustainable future. Our ongoing commitment to sustainability has been central to everything we do, from product design and manufacturing to our partnerships and community contributions.
Our 2024 Highlights
1. ISO 14006 EcoDesign Certification
This year, Workspace became the first in the Australian furniture industry to achieve ISO 14006 EcoDesign certification. This milestone reinforces our leadership in embedding sustainability into every stage of product design and development.
2. Emission Offset Certification
We’re proud to have achieved carbon emission offset certification, demonstrating our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to global efforts to combat climate change.
3. Recycling Initiatives
- Close the Loop Program: We recycled nearly 500kg of printer cartridges over the years, preventing valuable materials from going to landfill.
- Fabric Off-Cuts: Partnering with forward-thinking organisations, we’ve taken steps to repurpose approximately 200kg of monthly fabric waste into new, sustainable applications.
Dunlop Foam Partnership: Dunlop collects our foam off-cuts, which are then repurposed into products such as carpet underlays. This collaboration exemplifies the circular economy by turning potential waste into new resources.
As we prepare for 2025, our focus remains on continuous improvement. We’re excited to build on these achievements and explore new opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and community collaboration. Together, we can keep shaping a greener, more sustainable future.
