The project had three challenges - a large area in rugged inaccessible terrain, the thick vegetation, and a short timetable. The goal was to capture detailed topography on a ~1,5000 hectare site.
Our solution was to utilize the best-in-class LIDAR system. The attached photos speaks for themselves.
a. Point cloud being part of the deliverable, it can be observed that we have enough ground points even with the thick vegetation.
b. The Digital Surface Model (DSM) and Digital Terrain Model (DTM) show how detailed the survey was. Even tracks and old roads can be seen.
