The Breast Health Centre was developed in order to provide a high standard, comfortable environment for medical imaging diagnostic services. The Centre offers breast screening services, medical imaging and patient consultation space, jointly managed by HSNPH and Queensland Diagnostic Imaging (QDI). The planning of the centre combined clinical functionality with a high standard of patient comfort. The initial brief for the project required a space that allowed patients and their families to feel relaxed and at home, removing the institutional feeling of a clinical environment. The incorporation of separate waiting zones and quiet spaces allow for patient privacy.
