D’sara Sentral is mixed development comprises of retail outlets, 1 block of 25-storey SOVO and 4 blocks of 25-storey Serviced Apartment.
The retail concept of the D’sara Sentral is to be lifestyle retail outlets designed as an open-air street shop-front. The retail units facing the pedestrian promenade are housed in a rectilinear retail block, whilst fronting the Jalan Sungai Buloh, is the unique free standing curvilinear retail block providing a prominent and inviting frontage. The retail outlets are connected with covered verandah way and a series of sky bridges. A pedestrian link bridge has been proposed to connect to the MRT station.
The SOVO and SA towers sit atop on an elevated podium. The SOVO tower is placed in the most prominent position forming an unique landmark and gateway to the Sungai Buloh Village. The 4 Service Apartment towers are aligned behind SOVO tower to the fringes of the site to maximize separation from the busy junction between Jalan Sungai Buloh and Jalan Welfare. The residential separation is made possible due to the terrain land profile. This allows an opportunity to create SOVO and SA drop-off, lobbies at a different level from the Retail platform.
The SOVO and Service Apartment towers’ facades are treated with distinct architectural identity but the overall composition is harmonized and complemented through consistent architectural language and details. The external architectural design for all towers adopts modern contemporary approach using clean straight lines with intersecting vertical and horizontal features to create a neat composition to the façade. All towers are capped by brise soliel, not only providing shelter to the services on the roof top, but also providing lightness and creating a distinct architectural feature.
D’sara Sentral is set to redefine Sungai Buloh Urban-scape and act as a distinctive landmark in the otherwise low-rise neighborhood.
