LE DIAMANT Project by Archiplus International (HK) Limited
In this mini site of only 226 square metres, a commercial tower with unobstructed floor space for retail showrooms, and an eye-catching façade was designed under an organic design approach. The floor plate is divided into two zones, with the structural core at the back as the vertebrae holding the building services and vertical transportation, and the retail space in the front with columns pushed to the periphery like a rib cage enclosing free and flexible space for showrooms.
The façade features alternating undulating aluminium panels and glazing panels going all the way to the top, which on the one hand emphasises the verticality and on the other provides a dynamic dimensional skin to the building. Each of the aluminium panels is equipped with LED lights to create a streaming light effect in coherence with the striking oversized sign boards projecting from the building. LED sign boards are proposed at both the lower level and upper levels to attract and engage the audience at street level.
