Conrad Gargett was commissioned as the architectural design consultant for Sydney Harbour’s Ferry Wharves. Upgrade Package 2, to upgrade 28 ferry wharves and interchange precincts along the Harbour and Parramatta River foreshores. Collectively, the consultant team of engineers, architects and planners found a solution to better address Sydney’s needs for the future, generating an anticipated minimum 50-year service life for the wharves. The project’s goals are to improve accessibility, transport services connectivity, safety and amenity for ferry customers, as many of the wharves are in locations with challenging topographies.
