Restu Saujana Tekun (RST) Hostels Complex which is located on a small hill outside the main campus walls across one busy street of Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang is a well-articulated use of space and topography. The different blocks of the hostel is demarcated with different colours of paint. Its interior rooms are well ventilated and lighted both with natural and artificial lighting.
The exterior are beautified with trees and green effects highlighting the interesting topography of the landscape of which it is built and with adequate parking space for cars and motorcycles which is the major means of transportation for students in Malaysia. This hostel is one of the finest and well-maintained buildings in the city of Penang and has since its establishment been a worthy ambassador to USM.
