Following on from the success of Toll IPEC Sydney, SBA Architects was engaged by Qanstruct (Aust) to design this landmark freight sorting facility adjacent to Melbourne Airport for Toll IPEC.
This $80m project involved the design of a 68,000sqm freight processing and distribution facility, to include a state of the art parcel sortation system which processes over 35,000 parcels per hour. The overall facility consists of 50,000sqm warehouse, 8,000sqm mezzanine floor, driver rest rooms, truck workshop and fueling, two gate houses, 4,500sqm head office and over 100,000sqm of hardstand areas.
