The development of the Victoria University Tower completes the current vision for the Queen Street campus.
It is a joint venture between ISPT, Victoria University (VU) and the Victorian Department of Education and Training.
VU Tower comprises of around 43,300sqm floor area over 32 levels. It allows VU to consolidate a number of existing CBD facilities into an up-to-date building that becomes the major component of its vision for VU City Queen Campus.
VU Tower is a building that represents the forward thinking aspirations and the vision of the University. It is a modern and evolutionary way of delivering a high density campus on a city site footprint. Above all the sculpted shape will add a new dimension to the precinct, as well as responding and integrating with the immediate surrounding urban massing.
Whilst the project is developed to house a number of faculties with approximately 10 upper levels of academic and support offices and work spaces, but there remains a need for flexibility of floor layout within.
The various proposed faculty and office levels for a “future proofing” of the building. So this will allow VU the flexibility to explore new faculties within the grouping of faculty clusters.
