[HKIDA x CIFF Asia Pacific Design Summit]
The CIFF Asia Pacific Design Summit held from 19-21 March 2024 in Guangzhou was a resounding success. It gathered interior design associations and industry professionals from over 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region collectively explore the future trends of intelligent design.
HKIDA is pleased to co-organize the “Hong Kong Design New Generation · Bay Area Exchange Meeting” with CIFF during the summit, where we had the privilege of hearing from five exceptional speakers: Eric Sze On Chan , Kylie Chow , Max Lam, Arnold Wong & Tai Lai Wong, and Vincent Zhang. Their expertise and passion for design shone through as they shared their unique perspectives and engaged in thought-provoking discussions with developers from mainland China.
Two standout moments of the summit were HKIDA Vice-chairman, cm jao’s inspiring speech, shedding light on the transformative nature of human-centered design enhanced by AI, and the engaging panel discussion led by another HKIDA Vice-chairman, Welsey Liu (廖奕權) , which delved into the ethical implications of AI in design. The audience was captivated by a future vision of technology seamlessly integrating with human needs, creating intelligent and emotionally resonant experiences.
HKIDA significantly secured accommodation, transportation, and dedicated reception for our members for the 3-day-2-night tour to attend the summit and exchange meeting. It was a truly enriching experience that left us inspired and eager to embrace new design challenges.
Stay tuned for more exciting events from HKIDA!
