Kuk Po Common, a community public space that combines architectural conservation and design with culture, art, community, landscape, and ecology, has emerged after three years of research, design, and construction. Located beneath the mountains and facing the Kuk Po wetland along the coast of the Sha Tau Kok Sea, Kai Choi School and its annex block are now ready to be reopened for their new purpose.

The process of revitalizing and renovating the Kai Choi School and its annex block, both of which were built in 1963 and have remained abandoned since 1993, will be shared by Professor Wang Weijen. Following the talk, Ms. Ashley Ma will lead a tour around Kuk Po, explaining how the renovation pays homage to the site's cultural importance while incorporating new design elements that have transformed the space into a communal facility accessible to the public. This project also serves as a collective memorial to the original residents of Kuk Po.
