The Kuala Lumpur-Nanjing-Hong Kong Roving Architecture Exhibition (the Roving Architecture Exhibition) with the theme “Harmony in Diversity - Connecting the Metropolis by In-Between” held the official opening of its final stop at the Kai Tak AIRSIDE on 23rd February 2024. The exhibition is one of the “HKIA Roving Architecture Exhibitions” series, which was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur and Nanjing last year, and the Hong Kong stop to be held at Kai Tak AIRSIDE from 23rd February to 11th March. The exhibition is open to the public for free admission.

The SAKA Museum is one dedicated to Balinese Hinduist culture and traditional crafts in the Ayana Estate in Jimbaran, Bali. The entire interior seeks inspiration from local natural and cultural heritage in order to represent the powerful connection between culture and nature in Balinese Hinduism. From the tranquil night sky of Nyepi to water caves, volcano rocks to jasper and agate of Indonesia, Saka Museum defines each area through the translation of nature into architecture in formal and material expression. Different Balinese Hinduist motifs were also reflected in the architectural language through a contemporary lens while maintaining the essence of the traditional form.

At their first AIA Hong Kong event this year, they had an inspiring visit to the Zao Lab at the Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School Institute of Future Human Habitats on Friday evening.
Led by Professor Terrence Curry, AIA, the attendees were welcomed with warmth and a seminar on the ideology of Zao Lab as an embodiment of bodily experiences. AIA Shenzhen representative Chen Xi, AIA, and AIA Hong Kong past president Yimei Chan, AIA, extended their welcome to AIA members from Hong Kong and Shenzhen, as well as various international students, ranging from masters to PhD students.
