Q5 Event at the Annex in Central

Business of Design Week (BODW) 2021, Asia’s premier annual event on design, innovation and brands since 2002 organised by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), presents an exciting line-up of key panel sessions drawing on the theme ‘Global Design Reset’, signifying the need for fresh thinking, decisive leadership and collaborative creativity across disciplines as we continue to navigate in a state of flux under the new normal.

In light of the ongoing pandemic situation across China and to actively support government efforts towards containment, the 2022 editions of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will be rescheduled, with new dates to be announced in due course. Both shows were originally scheduled to take place from 9 – 12 June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

Throughout 2022, climate change had a dramatic impact on our planet and populations, from catastrophic floods in Pakistan to record-breaking droughts in South Asia. These are just a few examples of the climate impacts we are suffering at only 1.15°C above pre-industrial temperatures. However, as climate science clearly demonstrates, based on current policies, we are heading for much higher temperatures with a 2.8°C rise predicted by the end of the century. The worst is yet to come.
