The RIBA Hong Kong Chapter is launching an exciting student competition in conjunction with an exhibition to be held in the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) new hub, the 'DX Design Hub' at Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong, between 20 December 2024 and 20 January 2025.

The competition is open to students studying Architecture and similar related disciplines in Hong Kong. Selected entries from the competition will be exhibited alongside hand sketches from a diverse group of Architecture firms in Hong Kong. This will be a wonderful forum to celebrate and to exchange the essential skills of hand sketching as a way to conceptualise and formulate ideas and creativity, at different stages of the design.

The competition will coincide with a talk on 9 December at the DX Design Hub by our RIBA Drawings & Archives Collections curators; Charles Hind - Chief Curator, Olivia Horsfall Turner - Chief Curator Elect, Valeria Carullo - Photographs Curator. The RIBA drawing collection currently includes almost one million architectural drawings from sketches and preliminary designs to presentation and technical drawings.

If you are interested in entering the competition, please see below for further details.
