Get ready for an exciting new addition to Hong Kong's skyline and the city's next-generation central business district! AIRSIDE, a 47-story mixed-use commercial development spanning 1.9 million square feet in the Kai Tak area, has recently opened its doors for business.
AIRSIDE's stunning design features a gently curving façade composed of fluted Triple Low E IGU glass, marking the first time this glass has been extensively used in a commercial building in Hong Kong. This architectural feature is evident throughout the project, from the interiors to the external inclined geometric outline and the landscape design. The curved glass panels are not only visually striking but also designed to optimize energy consumption and reduce solar heat gain, making AIRSIDE a sustainable and functional addition to the city. This project is also Hong Kong's first private development to receive the five highest sustainable building certifications, including LEED C&S Platinum Certification and BEAM PLUS Neighborhood Platinum, as well as winning the Grand Award in the ‘Green Building Awards 2023’ in the category of New Buildings.
AIRSIDE is dedicated to promoting wholeness and community building, with a range of unique features that cater to diverse interests and lifestyles. The development offers a 4000 square foot urban farm that will provide over 50 varieties of vegetables to F&B businesses inside the mall, a pet-friendly hub, and Hong Kong's first large-scale indoor surfing center. Foodies will be delighted to know that AIRSIDE boasts approximately 40 food and beverage businesses, including a multi-concept food hall and pet-friendly al fresco dining areas. And for art and culture enthusiasts, over 10,000 square feet of space is dedicated to showcasing various art forms. AIRSIDE also features Hong Kong's first underground automatic bicycle parking system with cycling supporting facilities, promoting green transport and healthy living.
We are proud to announce that Atelier Pacific was responsible for designing the signage and wayfinding of the entire AIRSIDE project. Our colleagues have done an outstanding job, and we extend our gratitude to them for their hard work and dedication. The designs look fabulous and are sure to enhance the overall experience of visitors to this remarkable development. Last but not least, Congratulations to the Nan Fung Group and all our project partners on this achievement.
